滾歌手崛起歌壇，69年的作品 Love Chronicles  也曾被 Melody Maker 雜誌票選 
為"年度最佳民謠專輯"。 
 
到了 70 年代後，Al Stewart  艾爾．史都華改變了他原有的創作路線，把一些具 
有歷史背景的故事加以夢幻化，然後用敘述的方式唱出來，這樣的演唱方式也成了 
Al Stewart 一種獨特的風格。
